Florida High Heat Defeats South Tampa Hooks Despite Allowing 3-Run Inning
Despite allowing three runs in the sixth inning, Florida High Heat defeated South Tampa Hooks 7-3 on Saturday. Samuel H and Christian S each drove in runs during the inning.
Florida High Heat opened up scoring in the first inning, when Ty H homered on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Florida High Heat put up three runs in the fifth inning. Florida High Heat’s big inning was driven by home runs by Josh D and Michael O.
CJ K was the winning pitcher for Florida High Heat. He surrendered two runs on three hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out eight. David D threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Dominic W took the loss for South Tampa Hooks. He lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out three.
Florida High Heat tallied three home runs on the day. Josh had a homer in the fifth inning. Ty went deep in the first inning. Michael went for the long ball in the fifth inning.
Florida High Heat racked up nine hits in the game. Josh, Tanner J, and Jackson L all managed multiple hits for Florida High Heat. Jackson, Tanner, and Josh each collected two hits to lead Florida High Heat. Florida High Heat didn’t commit a single error in the field. Ty had the most chances in the field with eight.
South Tampa Hooks was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Ryan L made the most plays with one.
